The U.S. Embassy in Jakarta is seeking an individual for the position of Chauffeur in the DOJ/OPDAT.
 
BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION:
The incumbent performs driving duties for DOJ/OPDAT vehicles for official business.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
NOTE: All applicants must address each selection criterion detailed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each item.
 
1.      Successful completion of junior high school is required.
 
2.      Minimum 2 (Two) years driving experience is required.
 
3.      Level II (limited knowledge) speaking/reading/writing in English and Level IV (fluency) speaking/ reading/writing in Bahasa Indonesia is required.
 
4.      Must be familiar with Jakarta traffic laws, must have good knowledge of Jakarta Metropolitan area roads, location of government offices and foreign embassies.
 
5.      Must be able to drive all types of vehicles, perform preventive maintenance checks to include adding water and oil as necessary and check tires for condition and proper inflation level.
 
6.      Must be in possession of a valid Indonesian driver’s license (SIM-B1).

ADDITIONAL SELECTION CRITERIA

Management will consider nepotism/conflict of interest, budget, and residency status in determining successful candidacy.
Current employees serving a probationary period are not eligible to apply.
Currently employed NORs hired under a Personal Services Agreement (PSA) are ineligible to apply for advertised positions within the first 90 calendar days of their employment, unless currently hired into a position with a When Actually Employed (WAE) work schedule.
(As required): The candidate must be able to obtain and hold a level II (for FSN) security clearance.
